This particular CrossFit “Girl” WOD has an actual person attached to it. Let me introduce you to the woman behind the WOD, Kelly Moore. She once made the mistake of complaining to Coach that she wasn’t very good at box jumps. Ouch. Kelly, meet the Newbies. Newbies, Kelly.
Kelly Moore is one of the original CrossFitters, but more than that she is the stuff of which legends are made. If you were a Main Page CrossFitter you would always look for Kelly’s results and compare yourself to her. Man, woman…didn’t matter. I would sometimes record my results as a % of Kelly’s. You know, my time would be 150% of Kelly’s, or my weight lifted only 63%. Lest you think this is some monstrously huge, barely out of teenager years person let me set the record straight: Kelly is (almost) my age, about 5’3″ and can’t weigh 130 lbs. I think she STILL holds some CF records, and frankly this space is poorer for not having her around much nowadays. Cheers, Kelly!
