Rules: Any style clean (power clean, squat clean) and jerk (split jerk, squat jerk, push jerk) is allowed, but a thruster is not a clean & jerk. Pressouts are a no-rep. Must have lockout and be in a stable position with feet under your hips and getting a “good lift” signal from your trainer for the lift to count. It’s OK to repeat a lift if you were close, but we won’t let you repeatedly fail over and over because there is no value in that for you.

On a related note, a couple things about the correct use of an AbMat… 1) The thicker part of the AbMat goes toward your butt. Seems backwards because that causes the logo on the mat to be upside-down, but trust me, it mimics the shape of the curve in your low back and that’s the point of the AbMat in the first place. 2) Look at the logo… AbMat 2 is smaller than the regular AbMat, so only use AbMat 2’s if you’re smaller in stature (let’s say 5’6″ or shorter). 3) In order for your sit up rep to count, you have to have your shoulders go past your hips when sitting up.
