I hope everyone is enjoying an awesome day. Get out in the sun and go for a run. (Immediately followed by pullups and heavy thrusters:)
One of the most challenging things about our current state of affairs is not knowing when we can get back to our regular activities and, of course, back in the gym.
I’ve been in touch with the county commissioner, who told me that the County is waiting on the state, and here is the most current plan from the state of Kansas.
To summarize, gyms will open as part of phase 2. The good news is that our guidelines won’t be as strict as they would have been in phase 1. However, we will allow more time for cleaning and will ask that you maintain social distance before and after the classes and not arrive before or stay after the scheduled class times until the phase out, which will begin no earlier than June 15.
We will have new waivers for all members, which you will be able to complete online before your first class. We will let you know when the new waivers are online.
The bad news is that being in phase 2 pushes our opening date to May 18 at the earliest.
If that date holds, we will be open on Monday, May 18, for the return of equipment, and we will resume regular class schedules on Tuesday, May 19, at 5:30 am.
Let me know if you have any other questions, and we’re looking forward to having all of you back at the gym.
