My name is Tia Hurt.
I started coaching CrossFit in 2015 and LOVE IT!
But my fitness journey started way back in grade school.
Since then I continued my love of sports through high school and finally playing collegiate level soccer.
However, as active as I have always been I’ve struggled with my weight and body image most of my life.
It wasn’t until September of 2014 that I discovered CrossFit and all it has to offer. Since finding CrossFit, I have dropped 70+ pounds, gained more energy, and love the community CrossFit brings. It was not only through CrossFit that helped me get where I am today but also with dialing in my nutrition. I’ve learned that 80% of all success happens in the kitchen and what we eat, and the workout is 20%! The hard part is nutrition, not CrossFit!
In October of 2015, I obtained my Level 1 Certification, and since then I’ve thoroughly enjoyed coaching athletes and regular people alike to become better versions of themselves. I want to see each athlete reach their goal(s) with PR’s or even with their body image. My goal as a coach is to keep you safe, teach you the proper movements, provide nutritional information to help dial in your macronutrients, and help you reach your CrossFit goals! The CrossFit community has become “Ohana” to me! We are family! Each athlete and coach are here, at I35, will help you get better; by encouraging and uplifting you to be a better version of yourself!
