High Bar Back Squat Max Effort 1rm

Today is the first day in a multiple week squat cycle where we will perform back squats Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. If you haven’t tested squat max in the last 4 weeks do so today. If you competed in the powerlifting meet last weekend please opt for the sets and reps. While I expect this cycle to be very unpleasant at best I also expect that everyone will have big PR’s when we are done.

7 Squat Cleans, 85% 1RM
3×0:30 Arch Hold + 0:30 Hollow Hold/0:30 Rest
Be sure to roll straight from arch to hollow without your arms or legs touching the floor. Arms stay next to your ears the entire time. Also stop the set when you lose the ability to keep the low back in contact with the floor.
